At Naughty Monkey Studio, I had the great pleasure of creating the sound design for the 32bit Game Jam 2022.
To bring this Saturn–inspired stealth game to life, I implemented a range of sound design techniques to simulate the feel and limitations of a 90s console.
I worked in tandem with the composer to create a comprehensive soundscape, using a combination of custom–recorded footsteps, punches, swooshes, and other sound effects, as well as interactive music that dynamically reacts to the game state.
The sound was programmed directly into the game engine without the use of any middleware, and the final product achieved impressive results, ranking #5 out of 136 entries.
I am proud to have contributed to this amazing game, and I look forward to taking on similar sound design challenges in the future.
